What is a yoni massage?
A yoni massage is an intimate form of tantric massage that includes caring touch to the genital area within a full-body experience.
“Yoni” is a Sanskrit word with meanings including source or origin. In this context, it refers to the female genital area and is approached with care and reverence.
Touch without an expected next step
The touch is slow and attentive, without being foreplay or building towards sex. The intention is to make space for your own sensations and responses.
Some women describe a deep sense of rest or feeling more at home in this part of their body. Others experience something subtler. There is no particular response to aim for.
Part of the whole body
Within some tantric and Taoist approaches, the yoni is understood through reflex points and energetic connections with the rest of the body. This traditional perspective informs my practice.
Dearmouring uses a more focused approach to these points and to tension, within Transformational Tantric Massage.
Care in a sensitive area
Many women carry judgements about how their genitals look or respond. Here, the invitation is to receive attentive touch without a demand to look, feel or perform in a particular way.
You may notice changes in your breathing, belly or legs, alongside pleasure, emotion, hesitation or stillness. A quiet experience is as valid as an intense one.
Pleasure without performance
Questions such as “Am I feeling enough?” or “Should I be aroused?” can create pressure. In a session, you can notice your own response without needing to make it happen faster or become something else.
Arousal may arise, but orgasm is not the goal. You remain free to decide what you want, regardless of your body's response.

Your relationship with yourself
How does it feel to give this part of your body attention? Can you notice pleasure, hesitation or judgement? Can you express what you like and what you don't?
These questions may offer insight into your relationship with your body. Nothing needs to be resolved or changed immediately.
You choose what happens
Before beginning, we discuss what the massage involves and what touch you'd like. Yoni massage can remain entirely external.
If internal touch is discussed, it remains a separate choice at the time. I'll ask again, and we proceed only with your clear consent. You can change your mind, slow down, request different touch or stop whenever you wish.
Providers use the term differently, so always ask exactly what is included before booking.

An option, rather than a milestone
Yoni massage is one way to explore tantric touch. You never need to choose it to have a meaningful experience of tantra. A full-body massage without genital touch can offer just as much depth.
Whichever form you choose, your body deserves time, care and its own pace.
Common questions
Does yoni massage always include internal touch?
No. It can remain external. Internal touch requires discussion beforehand and clear consent again at the time.
Do I need to know exactly what I want before coming?
No. We can discuss your preferences and uncertainty. You can make or change choices as the session unfolds.
What if I become emotional?
Emotion can arise. We can slow down, pause or stop, following what you need.
What if I feel very little or feel nervous?
There's no expectation about how much you should feel. If you have pelvic pain or physical concerns, speak with your GP or a pelvic health physiotherapist before booking.
